The Museum of Modern Arts. MoMA

In this website you can find information directly related to the MoMA. At first you can find the visit guide, where you can plan your visit depending on the exhibitions showed in the calendar, because there are many of films and performances that too (not just paintings and sculptures), it’s probably a good idea to organize your time so you can take the most benefit from it, and see all that you want. In this section they inform about all the facilities they have for visitors with disabilities. You can know about group visiting, offers and discounts and the stores inside the museum. There is a map, the museum’s schedule and the link to buy tickets online.
Probably the most attractive feature of this site is the explore section, where you can see all the exhibitions, the present ones, the past ones and the upcoming ones. You can visit the collection too, where they gather a lot of different pieces. In this particular place is where I search for references when I’m out of inspiration or ideas. And for this same reason I usually visit the site when I’m trying to do something new, like trying a new technique with common materials, or trying a complete new material.
In the site you can learn about the history of the museum, you can read words from the director, and know about volunteering and jobs.
Another great thing It’s the learning program they have, from lectures, events to courses and internships, they even have an online course, where you can learn about modern arts with the videos they made.
I actually believe is a great website, but I think that the reason why I like it a lot is because someday I would like to visit the museum, to feel it, and not just seeing it from the web.

A band I like.

I’m going to write about a band that I really like, and I think that everybody should listen to some day in their lives. This band is Radiohead, my first time listening to them was on the radio, it was the song “Creep”, probably the most famous and recognized song of this band. Today, it’s like a hymn for those who are socially rejected or lonely. At first, I like the intensity of the interpretation of the song, even though it’s kind of depressing, and then I decided to look for more of this band work.

Reading about them I found that the most difficult song for them to play, specially the vocalist, is “Street Spirit”, he said that this song is so mentally exhausting that he cannot sing it in concerts. The content of this song talks about disappointment, but not just about a subject like love, or the way that society it’s managed, it’s the disappointment of all, the life itself, so this song makes the vocalist, Thom Yorke, feel so depressed that he couldn’t continue. What I mean by that, is that this song puts him in a continuous reflection state.

Personally, one of the songs I like the most of this band is called “No Surprises”. It talks about the numb state that routine puts in everybody, so it really makes me think respecting the way we live now, why we have to compete to achieve things, or the fact that today the most important thing to live is money, so you become some kind of robot in order to get it. It makes me want to wake up, face the system and actually be happy, real happy.

It’s a wonderful band, really existential, sensible and thoughtful.

Hello!, my name is Daniela, but everyone knows me as NanĂ©. I am Chilean, I was born the May 14th on 1990, in Santiago. My parents are Rodrigo Pineda and Alejandra Olivares and my siblings are Sofia and Rodrigo, we all live together. We move on our actual house in the 2000, and since then we had a lots of different kinds of pets, we even had a goat and a spider, they were cute but really hard to take care of.

I am studying Teathre Desing on Universidad de Chile, It's fun but a lot of times I run out of time to do my assignments. From 1996 to 2006 I went to Liahona School, and from 2006 to 2008 I went to Villa el Sol School, after I graduated from there, I waited a year to enter the University.

I really like to draw and love to create things, especially when it's related to fantasy or fictional characters, because of this I want to study something related to special effects, but at least, in Chile, it's really expensive and just related to make up (I would like to learn something about mechatronics too). I consider myself a craftswoman, lately I have been working with bones and wool crafting, I actually think that anything involved with the creation and experimentation of any material is interesting and amazing.
